About

We build sovereign cloud infrastructure for Europe

Frostmoln is a Swedish-operated cloud platform — sovereign by jurisdiction, sustainable by design and open by default. Built so European teams can run modern workloads without giving up control of their data.

Frostmoln exists because the cloud Europe relies on is largely operated outside Europe, under legal regimes that can compel access to customer data. We think there is room — and a need — for a credible alternative built on EU/EEA jurisdiction, renewable energy and open standards. We are a team based in Sweden, building the platform on top of open-source foundations. We are intentionally not chasing parity with hyperscalers on every service. We are focused on the surface area European customers actually need to run production workloads safely. Frostmoln is operated by Svenska Moln AB, a Swedish corporate parent that holds the company structure, financing and long-term mandate.

What we stand for

Three commitments shape every decision we make about the platform.

European sovereignty

All infrastructure runs in EU/EEA datacentres under Swedish jurisdiction. Customer data is protected by EU law and is not subject to foreign surveillance orders such as the US CLOUD Act or FISA Section 702.

Renewable by default

Powered entirely by Nordic hydroelectric and wind energy. Carbon-neutral operations with natural arctic cooling and clear reporting on the energy and water footprint of the platform.

Open standards, no lock-in

Built on open source and S3-compatible APIs. Move workloads in or out without proprietary glue. Terraform provider and CLI ship from day one.

Corporate
